Sage Music, a music school based in Queens, recently opened a music school in Brooklyn. Sage Music offers guitar, violin, cello, piano, and voice lessons and uses traditional music instruction combined with psychology, holistic approaches to health and well-being, and communal creativity.
Sage Music, an innovative music school, has opened a new location in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. On Jan. 2, the Greenpoint location began offering classes in guitar, cello, violin, piano, and voice to students of all ages.
Sage Music is a school that caters to all ages with the goal of transforming students into musicians. The school’s unique and innovative curriculum is derived from traditional music school pedagogy combined with tenets from psychology, holistic approaches to health and well-being, and communal creativity.
“At Sage Music, we focus on teaching skills that enable students to play with confidence and ease through proper instrument mechanics, proper body usage and best methods for learning and practicing,” said Jason Sagebiel, founder and owner of Sage Music. “Our Greenpoint location will offer one-on-one instruction, special music events, concerts, and practice time. There is nothing more rewarding than to see my students progress in their studies and I can’t wait to get started teaching in Brooklyn.”
Currently headquartered at 44-02 23rd St., Suite 414, Long Island City in Queens, Sage Music’s second school is located at 33 Nassau Ave., Greenpoint in Brooklyn. The school’s Greenpoint location is co-located with PLAY Greenpoint, an early-childhood enrichment center and indoor play space for ages newborn to 5.
