St. Patty’s day is right around the corner. So let’s chase some rainbows and search for that “Pot of Irish Oats”.
Oatmeal
is a heart healthy, inexpensive, durable product that should be a
staple in every household! We personally eat oatmeal every
morning..it’s so delicious, so satisfying, and super nutritious. Here
is a stove top version for all the moms out there. Your kids will love
it! —
- Bring 2 cups milk (we love to make it with almond milk or rice milk) to a boil on the stove
- Add a dash of salt and 1 cup of Irish Oats to the pot
- Return to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10-20 minutes
- Stir it up, add your favorite mix in’s and voila’!
This
recipe can also be made in the microwave for those who are always on
the go. Some of our favorite blend in’s are maple syrup, nuts, dried or
fresh fruit, cinnamon and peanut butter. Any combination works with
your treasure of soluble fiber. This “Pot of Oats” is sure to give you
a heart of gold!
