¡Arriba! Community Dance Party
The High Line
7-9 pm
Get ready to dance the night away at The High Line during their ¡Arriba! Community Dance Party. All ages are welcome to enjoy live Latin music from Nu D’Lux, a Cuban-NYC dance band that blends salsa, rumba, and danzon musical styles to create a unique sound that’s all their own. This event is free, and no RSVP is required.

Summer Snow Day for Dogs
Riverside Park
9am
Spend a dog day summer morning in Riverside Park with your canine friend. Petco is hosting a Summer Snow Day where dogs can run, play, and cool down in a machine-made snow zone. While you’re there, be sure to get a free doggie ice cream treat for your pooch, plus wellness food samples. There will also be dog training and KONG toy demos throughout the day.

Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day
USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center

Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day is back! This annual tennis celebration for families will kick off the U.S. Open in Flushing Meadows, Queens. This year’s musical guests include Ariana Grande, Austin Mahone, Lawson, and Cazzette. Some of the tennis world’s biggest stars like Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Serena Williams will entertain the crowds with live tennis. Roam the National Tennis Center grounds for free tennis games and activities such as face painting, juggling, storytelling, hair beading and braiding, balloon art, and 10 & Under Tennis. Ticket prices range from $10 to $40.

Dan Zanes & Elizabeth Mitchell with You Are My Flower
NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts

To celebrate the release of their new collaborative album, “Turn Turn Turn,” the king and queen of children’s folk music, Dan Zanes and Elizabeth Mitchell will be performing at the NYU Skirball Center. Mitchell’s family band, You Are My Flower, will join the duo on stage during this not-to-be-missed concert. Kids will especially love “Now Let’s Dance,” the album’s first single. Tickets are $25.

Romeo and Juliet
The Richard Rodgers Theatre

Orlando Bloom and Tony Award Nominee Condola Rashad will star in Shakespeare’s epic tragedy, “Romeo and Juliet.” Directed by David Leveaux, this production marks the first time in 36 years that the play will be seen on Broadway. Please note: The theatre welcomes all ages, but the adaption does include (non-graphic) mature scenes. Ticket prices start at $87.

Adventuring Portal

<p><a name="m_-1473885667065203258__Hlk72147528"></a>Adventuring Portal runs Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) games for kids.   We have created a safe online space for tweens and teens to learn and play D&D.</p> <p>Our D&D Summer Camp session are a one-week experience.  Monday – Friday.  Each day will be 3 hours of gaming (with 2 breaks build in).  15 total gaming hours for $180.  If you have played with us before, you are entitled to 10% off.   </p> <p>Need your kids, nieces or nephews, grand kids or neighbor’s kids to be occupied for a bit so you can get work done & take care of your to-do list? Maybe your tween or teen is still a bit isolated and craves connection with their peers? Whether your teen/tween has played D&D before or is brand-new to the experience, this safe space brings players together to have fun and solve problems as a team in ways few other online opportunities do.</p> <p>All our games focus on experiential learning.   Our players leave knowing all the basic game play as well as experiencing: teamwork, bravery, compassion, generosity, negotiation, improvisation, gamer etiquette, strategy, critical thinking, problem solving, cartography and probability - all through online D&D adventuring!</p> <p>We are an inclusive organization and welcome gamers who are LGBTQIA+ and those on any spectrum. </p> <p>All girls’ groups available. </p> <p>I am a parent, a certified elementary school and middle school math teacher and last summer in the midst of the mess started Adventuring Portal, an online Dungeons & Dragons business for kids.
