It’s warming up in the city! We’ve picked out a couple of terrific concerts and a marvelous spring carnival, all happening this weekend. So get out there and enjoy the fabulous weather.

Saturday, April 13-Sunday, April 14

Children’s Carnival
Queens County Farm Museum
11 am-6 pm
Nothing says spring quite like a carnival–and the Queens County Farm Museum is hosting a carnival designed exclusively for kids! Activities during this two-day children’s carnival include rides, games, prizes, food, hayrides, and more. Tickets are $11 per person. Height rules apply for carnival rides.

Saturday, April 13

The Itty Biddies
Brooklyn Public Library, Central Library

Head over to Brooklyn for a rockin’ concert featuring The Itty Biddies. McGraw-Hill Carnegie Kids is sponsoring this free, 45-minute musical jamboree for ages 3 through 6. The ukulele-playing trio will perform hits like “Hello Hello Hello”, “Safari”, and “Jump Around”. Please arrive early for best seating.

Sunday, April 14

Cedric Watson & Bijou Creole
92Y

How about a little zydeco music? Cedric Watson and his group, Bijou Creole, will introduce children ages 6 and up to this Louisiana French mix of Creole and R&B music during a concert at 92Y. This one-hour show will feature some of the four-time Grammy-nominated fiddler and accordionist’s best toe-tapping tunes such as “Les Blues Creole” and “Allons Nous-Autre.” Tickets are $18.
