Long-running summer day camp, Park Explorers Day Camp, will offer a toddler program starting this summer. The early explorers program, which includes arts and crafts, nature exploring, and water activities, introduces children to the summer camp environment in a condensed time frame set for 3-year-olds.
Beginning July 1, Park Explorers Day Camp will offer an early explorers program for toddlers, aimed at introducing them to a summer camp environment. Ideal for 3-year-olds, campers enjoy activities such as nature exploring, arts and crafts, and water activities.
“They get to have a lot of great summer fun on a speed set for 3-year-olds,” says owner Christine Altman. From 9am-1pm, young campers will experience what it is like to be at a regular summer camp, in a condensed time frame. “It’s a full four hours of outdoor fun,” Altman says, explaining that with a two week minimum requirement, parents can choose to enroll their children in three- to five-day programs.
Park Explorers Day Camp, which has been helping kids make summer camp memories for more than 25 years, offers a tight knit environment that nurtures the specific needs of the campers. “It’s a family program that grows with the child,” Altman says.
In addition to the early explorers program, Park Explorers Day Camp also offers camps for children ages 4-15 and a volunteer program for returning campers older than 15.
