The Ohman School of Ballet, in Commack, added a new mommy and me class called Dance Together.
In Dance Together, dance specialist Donna Floridia creates fresh, new ways to bring ballet to the preschool level. Introduced are ballet stories, the use of scenery, props, and costumes that encourages growth in your child’s imagination.
Also the 35th season of the Ohman School’s “The Nutcracker” offers new reduced ticket pricing so more people have the chance to experience the largest Nutcracker production on Long Island.
The school serves children ages 18 months-3. The school guides children from their first steps towards advanced technique, while instilling true appreciation and love for the art form.
“We try to focus more on ballet and keep the love for it intact,” says Public Relations manager Vasi Malatesta.
The Ohman School of Ballet was founded in 1979 by former soloist at New York City Ballet Frank Ohman. The school is a non-competition, non-recital school, focusing on proper classical ballet technique.
With the direction of the Ohman School of Ballet, children will leave understanding discipline, dedication and self-awareness that will help them in their future.
