NYC Easter Dining with Kids

Looking for a great NYC restaurant to get your “hop” on this Easter? MiniMunchers has done the research and is happy to provide you with our top picks for Easter brunching and munching with your kids this Spring season.

If you want to do something special BEFORE the big day, I highly recommend Macy’s 3rd Annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Saturday April 23rd. The festivities start at 9am with face painters, balloon twisters, magic and of course a special appearance by the man himself – THE EASTER BUNNY! It really is a fun morning – but make sure you call in advance, reservations are required and they book up quickly. Call 212-868-3001

On Easter itself there are a few places in the City that cater and welcome kids that we think are good pick

While I have not been to Opia with the kids yet myself, they are hosting a big Easter event with live music for the adults and two Easter egg hunts (at 1 and 3pm) during the day. With a special $15 kids menu (adults are $30), this sounds like a good choice if looking for a fun spot in midtown.

Another great spot, and a fav of my oldest muncher, is Beacon. The restaurant is featuring a $38 price fixe menu for adults, $19 for kids 8 and under but the most enticing for the Minis is the cotton candy machine in the kitchen where they can “spin” their own dessert.

If you find yourself looking for a fun place on the UWS, the local Italian favorite Pappardella is a find. Adults will enjoy not being limited by a special Easter Menu while there WILL be a special Easter themed menu for the kids.

Café Boulud%uFFFDon the UES is offering a more upscale Easter brunch – 3 courses with a reduced price for children. At $45 its not necessarily a “deal” but then again it is one of the top restaurants in the City!

[Editor’s Note: Good ideas for Easter eats was so popular Minimunchers offered a second round of suggestions.]

Treehouse Shakers

<div>Treehouse Shakers’ Branching OUT After-School program is for ages 12-14. This awarded program is for young people who identify as LGBTQIA+, or are seeking to become better allies. Branching OUT centers on discovering and exploring one’s story and identity through an intentionally artist-led format. During our community-based program, young people will explore and reflect on their own story to create a larger, more meaningful experience, while gaining self-empowerment and gathering with like-minded peers. Through the guidance of our awarded teaching artists, young people will create narratives that will be turned into podcasts, dances, songs or poetry. </div> <div> </div> <div>Young people have the opportunity to learn new art forms, work with professional artists, while building a meaningful community.</div>
