The New York City Department of Education last week released the official results of standardized tests for third through eighth graders. Instead of waiting until September, parents and guardians can now view their children’s 2011 NYS ELA, math, and science test scores online by logging into ARIS Parent Link.
In the past, parents have been notified of their children’s scores before school ends in June, but this year and last year the state administered the math and English language arts tests late, and 2011 grades weren’t determined until last week.
The New York City Department of Education (DOE) has reported the state exam results on ARIS Parent Link, a website that provides parents and guardians with school and academic progress information. Parents of children in schools operated by the Department of Education can access the site (parents of children in charter schools should contact their schools directly for test results). Parents will also get printed score reports from their children’s schools in September.
For those that don’t know their username and password to access the site, the DOE will set up ARIS Parent Link access stations in select libraries throughout the week of August 22. The schedule is as follows:
