New App Lets Parents Take Control Of Their Kid’s Tech

pausescreen2xAre you a concerned parent and feeling that your children are spending too much time on their phones these days? Typically we’d tell you to join the club, but TeenSafe might just be what you are looking for to keep your child safe and less distracted.

Created by parents for parents, TeenSafe is the first parental smartphone monitoring service that allows parents to safeguard their children’s digital lives through managing and monitoring smartphone activity. Parents will be able to utilize the Pause button on the TeenSafe app, which allows parents to instantly and remotely disable all or selected features on the children’s device that are distracting them from focusing on the task at hand. Some other features of the free app include the ability to disable the phone’s camera, prevent texting or downloading, and much more.

Why is it so important to closely monitor your child’s phone usage? According to a poll conducted by Common Sense Media, 50 percent of teens feel addicted to their mobile device, and 72 percent of teens feel the immediate need to respond to texts, social-networking messages and other notifications. Parents can now reclaim family time, without any technology interrupting or going off in the background.  Finally, a way to enjoy family dinners without worrying about phones on the table!
