Music Together® with Music and Me will be hosting pajama parties for past and present families and their friends at the Bayside and Astoria locations Aug. 29 and 31, respectively. Both family pajama parties will take place from 6-6:45pm and cost $20 per family. Pre-registration is required.
Music Together® with Music and Me combines music and movement with age-appropriate curriculum and registered Music Together® teachers. The interactive music classes were created to support the development and learning of children ages 5 and younger.
All teachers at Music Together® with Music and Me have successfully completed the Music Together® Teacher Training developed by the Center for Music and Young Children. Wendy DeAngelis founded Music Together® with Music and Me to provide a nurturing place for families to participate in and support their children’s musical, creative, and social journey.
“Music Together® aims to make the world a better place by making it more musical. Through music and movement, we focus on strengthening communities and families,” says Nini Reid, a registered Music Together® teacher.
The Music Together® curriculum includes a mix of original songs and traditional tunes from jazz, folk, and world music traditions in a variety of harmonies, tonalities, and meters. Parents and children can move together to lyrical blues, folk, and boogie. Music Together® also provides parental support by teaching parents how to move and groove with their children at home, including ways to rhythmically read and share story time.
Can’t make the Music Together® with Music and Me pajama parties this August? Don’t worry—Music Together® with Music and Me plans to announce more in December.
