Certificates of Excellence are awarded each academic year to Music Development Program students in Preparatory A and B and Levels 1 to 10 who achieve the highest standard of excellence in their respective state. In addition to recognizing the top scorers in the program, Certificates of Excellence honor music teachers across the U.S. and the time and effort they put into training the next generation of musicians.

Along with the three Manhattan student winners, the program also awarded 11 students from Connecticut, ranging in age from 6 to 15; 14 students from New Jersey, ages 8 to 12; and 21 other students from New York, ages 7 to 17.
