Having trouble getting your kids to pick up a book now that
school is out? Good news! We are giving
away free tickets to an evening with bestselling author and two-time Children’s
Choice Book Award “Author of Year” nominee, James Patterson. —
The author of the mystery-adventure series Maximum Ride and
the Middle School series will be joined by fellow author Matthew Cody at the Thalia Kids
Book Club to discuss his books and writing life. As a strong reading advocate,
Patterson’s accomplishments go far beyond writing. Kids and parents alike will
be inspired by Patterson’s creation of the James Patterson Page Turner Awards,
ReadKiddoRead.com, College Books Bucks Scholarship, and his regular donation of
thousands of books to schools across the United
States and to troops overseas.
The even will include a reading by an actor from one of the
author’s exciting stories. Kids in the audience will also be given the
opportunity to ask Patterson any question they like. Along with answering
questions, Patterson will share inspiring ideas to guide even the most stubborn
readers through summer reading.
This special event takes
place on June 19 at 6:30 pm and we
