Princesses bring your snowmen and princes bring your reindeer and prepare for “Disney on Ice Frozen!” to warm your hearts with a skating story of sisterly love. The sensational show features all of the characters we know and love (like Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, and Kristoff), songs to make you sing out loud, and spectacular costumes, scenery, and special effects that are super cool. And there are, of course, other fun surprises like Elsa making fireworks (literally) and a skating Sven!

Mickey and Minnie personally welcomed us and started the show along with many of the fan favorites like Buzz Lightyear and Cinderella. They all waved hello and sang us songs as they glided along on the ice. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I was mesmerized when the ice magically transformed into Arendelle — there were banners flip flapping down from the sky, castles towering up from the ice, and all sorts of royal décor. It felt like we were actually inside the castle! Then my favorite princesses, Anna and Elsa, appeared in their gorgeous gowns. From the moment they took the ice, they wowed us with their ice dancing and everyone was oohing and aaahing.

D34_20140829_01015_editFrom the Coronation Day kickoff to the grand finale I felt like I was living the movie but it was even more magical since: 1) It was happening before my very own tiny toddler eyes and, 2) All on incredible ice skates! The “Love is an Open Door” duet almost melted the ice with love especially when Hans proposed to Anna. But when Elsa didn’t give her blessing her powers came alive and exploded (literally) in the form of fireworks. It knocked my socks off. And then Elsa froze over the whole kingdom with her curse and the entire arena was blanketed with beautiful white snow. I even felt cold. Brrrr! Then there was Elsa’s great big escape to the North Mountain where she went to “Let It Go!” And soon enough, everyone was singing along with Elsa as she let herself free along with snowflakes, icy lights and fireworks from her powers. This was some real Disney magic at work!

The whole story naturally came to life on ice culminating with the act of true love where Elsa saves Anna and learns that loves conquers all. This sisterly love leads to fantastic figure skating by the serene sisters as the snow melts, banners fly again, flowers start blooming, and balance is restored in their kingdom.

D34_20140903_03837_editFrom start to finish, I was in awe of the skating, songs, costumes, characters, and captivating set. “Disney on Ice Frozen!” certainly warmed my heart! I sang and danced the whole time while donning my Anna dress and waving hello to her each time she skated by. I loved it so much that I even cried and planted and protested when it was time to go home. When all the “Frozen” friends and princesses and more came out for a stunning grand finale, I gave my biggest round of applause ever. I love wintry princesses, snow, glitter and Disney on Ice magic! You and your grownups will treasure this magical experience.

This little Princess Anna fan highly recommends you hurry over to see the show.

“Frozen” on ice will run from November 11-16 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and from November 19-23 at Newark’s Prudential Center. Tickets start at $25 and are available at disneyonice.com.
