It’s spooky vintage ‘toons at Halloween Cartoon Magic and Fun at Voelker Orth Museum

Halloween cartoon magic and fun is on the menu at Voelker Orth Museum on Oct. 28.

Fun for kids of all ages, animation historian Tommy Jose Stathes treats visitors to a reel of spooky cartoons from the 1920–30s. A master of vintage animation, Stathes conjures the magic of early cinema — fun and not-too-scary — projected on 16-millimeter film.

The screening starts at 5 pm but there’s mask-making, flip books, and refreshments before the show, starting at 3:30 pm. Come for the full program or just the films.

Halloween Cartoon Magic, Oct. 28 at 3:30 pm. Tickets are $4 per person or $10 per family. Children under 3 are free.
