There’s never been a better time to visit the newly re-opened Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. The annual Kids Week 2009, held during the February school break, offers exciting daily activities from various city venues.Besides learning all about World War II planes, this is your chance to meet members of the New York Knicks, Liberty and Rangers; view performances and circus skills from Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus; take photos with some of your favorite celebrity wax figures from Madame Tussauds; and explore elements of design with the American Society of Civil Engineers. Exhibits are on display from NASA in the new Exploreum hall, where kids can explore the equipment and technology used to send astronauts into space and even talk with astronauts.
