Hillcrest Jewish Center Day Camp in Flushing added an online registration portal to its website in February to make camp registration more efficient for parents, to waste less paper, and to give parents the ability to change details within the account if necessary. This July, it will begin a Drone Training program for campers ages eight through 14.
At Hillcrest Jewish Center Day Camp's open house and reunion on March 17, Hillcrest staff members will help parents learn the online registration process and sign up for the 2019 season. Parents will have the ability to manage payments, customize which weeks campers attend Hillcrest, and manage all other details through this new portal.
The Drone Training program will be taught by an outside vendor who will supply drones and teach campers ages eight through 14 how to maneuver drones through various obstacle courses.
At Hillcrest Jewish Center Day Camp, the staff prides themselves in knowing every camper personally, according to Howard Seidman, Hillcrest Jewish Center Day Camp director.
