If you have a Broadway-obsessed kid, you might want to check out the Broadway Bound Kids summer program. This summer it will offer its Ham-sical camp from July 30–Aug 4. Children in grades kindergarten-6th will get the opportunity to create an original musical inspired by a famous historical figure, much like Hamilton.
If you and your family still haven’t seen the show this is a great opportunity for your little actor or actreess to immerse themselves in the theatrical experience. Not to mention they might learn a thing or two about history, and actually have fun doing it!

Kids will incorporate events and history into a brand new musical in which teaching artist will guide them to create original songs, scripts, and choreography. Kids will also get a chance to assist with costume and scenic design. The camp takes place in Time’s Square right in the heart of all the Broadway action.
Here’s just some of the fun things your child will experience at Ham-sical camp:
- Attend a master classes with a Broadway cast member!
- Create an original Hamilton-inspired mini-musical.
- Learn to write script, songs, and create choreography.
- Collaborate with professional teaching artists to create their show.?
- Create props, costume pieces, and scenery.
- Present their show for family and friends at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
