Grace Music School will be offering Music FunTime classes, for children ages 18 months to 7 years, at the Melville location starting in the fall.
Music FunTime classes will aim to teach children basic music concepts in a fun and educational way through a variety of means including singing and using instruments. The classes will also prepare children for private music lessons, once they are ready to begin.
Music FunTime classes are currently offered at Grace Music School’s Fort Salonga location. In the fall they will be added to the school’s second location, which opened in mid-2016 at Steinway and Sons in Melville. This is the first time in the history of Steinway that a music school has been integrated into a Steinway-owned showroom.
“There’s really no school like [Grace Music School] on Long Island,” says John Heaphy, president of Grace Music School. The showroom also includes a concert space where students have the opportunity to perform on a concert grand piano.
Grace Music School offers individual lessons to people of all ages and skill levels in a variety of instruments including piano, guitar, voice, percussion, strings, and woodwinds.
Its mission is “to provide exceptional music education to students of all ages; cultivate a life-long love of music in a nurturing environment; and to help our students realize their potential as musicians and in other critical areas of life.”
