Budding golfers get the chance to bone up their skills — compliments of the City Parks Foundation — at Marine Park and Herbert Von King Park, through Aug. 23.
CityParks Golf, presented by Rene Lacoste Foundation, affords boys and girls 6 to 16 years old an opportunity to learn all about eagles, boggies, and back spins, as they tee off with professional instructors. Children learn the sport, while developing self-esteem, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Classes are offered at Herbert Von King Park, at Marcy and Greene avenues in Bushwick on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, for children 6-8, and from 10:30 am to noon for children 9-16.
And at Marine Park, at Avenue S and E. 32nd Street, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, for children 6-8, and from 10:30 am to noon for children 9-16.
Classes are free and include all equipment.
