Former model Shawn Ehlers now offers aspiring models and actors a one-day boot camp to learn skills, about the industry, and how to put outfits together. Attendees also gain experience in front of the camera modeling two looks in a photo shoot.

Model Moves Boot Camp offers aspiring models and actors a unique experience—being coached and photographed by owner and former model Shawn Ehlers.
The boot camp, which runs from 9am-5pm, is a one-day workshop open to children and adults of different heights. The program gives an overview of the modeling industry, etiquette, how to style and put outfits together, walk the runway, and how to move in front of the camera, incorporating proper posture, poise, and self-presentation.
“I hope young girls gain confidence, poise, grace, and just feel good at the end of the day,” says Ehlers. “I try to bring the personality out instead of focusing on what’s on the outside. This isn’t just for aspiring models, but for all young girls. And they can benefit from this camp even if they don’t go into professional modeling.”
The boot camp includes a photo shoot session with two different looks. In addition to experiencing what it’s like to model, students observe what goes on at a photo shoot and see before and after shots to view their progress. Ehlers emphasized that the photo shoots at this camp aim to keep it simple by not overdoing the makeup. For further instruction after completion of the camp, Ehlers offers private coaching in person and via Skype. Private lessons are charged by the hour.
