Family Media continues to grow! Associate Creative Director (NYC)

The Associate Creative Director will be responsible for the creative scope of all Family Media products and services. This includes New York Family magazine and the www.newyorkfamily.com website; our Baby Show Series including New York, Chicago and LA Baby Shows and our awards and fair programs. The associate creative director will provide creative direction across the business working closely with marketing and editorial to ensure that our business achieves world-class design and creative. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating editorial and marketing materials for both media and events, as well as print and digital. Candidate must be able to work to tight deadlines and deliver outstanding creative in a highly efficient and high paced manner.   1-5 years of appropriate past experience and training required.

Requirements Include:
-1-5 years design experience, ideally in print and digital
-Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, InCopy, Illustrator, Photoshop)
-Must be a true collaborator and creative thinker with the ability to create and craft something that elevates the content
-Proven experience designing complicated packages
-Must be highly organized with the ability to manage a heavy workload and tight deadlines
-Experience with digital design and websites including working understanding of HTML
-Knowledge of and experience working with photographers, photo studios
-Proficiency in pre-production work: pre-flight, working with professional printer, etc.
-Social media/digital content creation
-Experience with video a plus

Responsibilities Include:
-Creative direction and layout design for all of New York Family magazine projects (regular print issues and special projects), including covers, features, and monthly columns
-Creative direction and layout design websites and social platforms
-Art direction of photo shoots
-Coordinating with editorial department, business department, and printer to maintain deadlines
-Creating a consistent overall brand for the publication, including the website and other digital products
-Working with marketing department to create materials for New York Family and Family Media events and special projects

Associate Marketing Director (NYC)

Lead marketing efforts across Family Media’s growing business. The position will be responsible for audience development, sales marketing, event marketing (including audience acquisition, marketing materials and sponsorship fulfillment), social media, and all marketing related activities. Ideal candidate will have experience in both event and media marketing with proven success in audience development, event marketing and social media. Unique opening for experience and growth across a truly integrated platform. This is a great opportunity for someone with a desire to be a marketing director and run marketing across a diverse and growing media business.  3-4 years of appropriate past experience and training required.

Key Responsibilities:
-Development and execution of marketing and media plans and timelines
-Audience development and database development
-Management of websites and social platforms
-Social media marketing, promotion and development
-Management of public relations
-Management of marketing budget
-Development of marketing materials and marketing collateral

Key Requirements:
-B.A./B.S. in Marketing strongly preferred
-Experience with audience and database development required

-3+ years marketing experience in conference and/or exhibition style events including: direct mail, e-mail, social networks, website, digital and print
-Market research/polling background experience a plus
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Advertising and Sponsorship Sales Executive (flexible)

Family Media’s aggressively growing media business is seeking an adverting and sponsorship sales executive. The Baby Show Series launched in Los Angeles this past month and will expand to Chicago in 2017 giving us a true national platform with NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles and our JPMA Baby Show focused on trade. In addition, our New York Family business continues to grow and represents an opportunity to expand nationally. Ideal candidate will have experience is selling both events and advertising (print and digital). Experience within the realms of parenting, family or expectant parents is highly valued. Compensation commensurate with experience, (combination of salary and commissions).

Synopsis of the role:
Sell high value, solution-based advertising, sponsorship and exhibition packages to key prospects and accounts, selling across media and events. Focus on event and account management, client development and retention and year on year growth from each account.

Key Results Areas:
-High value sales against quarterly media and event targets
-To identify high-level advertising, sponsorship sales opportunities with existing and new accounts, understanding and identifying business objectives within major accounts
-Adopting a consultative sales approach
-Responsibility for maximizing advertising and events revenue across business
-Client retention – to provide a high level of account management service and strengthen the client relationship
-New business development – proactively increase the sales universe and identify new event opportunities to develop our portfolio 

Key Features:
Strong relationships will be built primarily over the telephone as clients and prospects will be located on a nation wide basis. Field based activity will also be required to further develop relationships with client visits and at conferences.

Liaise regularly with internal/contract colleagues – production, marketing and logistics to ensure that all opportunities are addressed and that the client receives the best possible level of service regardless of the contact point.

Person Specification:
-Minimum of 3 years commercial experience in a business development role
-Proven record of strategic sales, new business wins, and account management
-Passionate customer focused attitude
-Idea generator, initiative-taker
-Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills
-Excellent negotiation and rapport building skills
-High degree of empathy and business acumen
-Strong drive and ambition
-Good organizational and time management skills, experience with ACT or other CRM tools
-Strong forecasting and pipeline management skills
-Experience in baby/child product market highly desirable

Compensation is a combination of base salary and commissions

The Wild Center

Basketball City

<p>Beginning June 2024, Basketball City will be running a full weekly schedule of Summer</p> <p>Basketball Camps. We will have our professional staff of coaches teaching your kids weekly.</p> <p>Our camps are designed to teach kids the skills they need to become a better basketball player</p> <p>by using specific drills and fitness work that focus on the fundamentals of the game in a fun,</p> <p>safe and inclusive environment.  The camps run weekly varying in time and the number of days</p> <p>for ages 6-17. We have 3-, 4- & 5-day options with times ranging from 9-4pm or 9-3pm. Every</p> <p>camper will receive a jersey once they are registered and arrive. We are limiting the number of</p> <p>camp participants each week to ensure a safe and healthy environment for your children. The</p> <p>limited number of campers will also ensure that your child receives individual attention needed</p> <p>to improve their basketball skills. Our camps in the past typically include current and past NBA</p> <p>players and a collaboration with the Jr. Knicks, the National Basketball Players Association, as</p> <p>well as 5 Star Basketball, and our ever-popular Basketball City FUNdamentals Camp along with</p> <p>our Jr. NBA/NBA Cares NBA Draft/Skills Challenge Camp with future NBA talent.</p>
