Elliott’s Classes, which offers gymnastics classes for infants, toddlers, and young children and dance classes for young children, now offers an alternative preschool program to introduce children to separation from parents in a school setting.
In the infant gymnastics classes at Elliott’s Classes, Elliott Cortez uses activities
that stimulate muscles used for crawling and walking, focus on coordination and balance,
and develop fine and gross motor skills.
Elliott’s Classes, a gymnastics and dance program facility, now offers Kids in Bloom, an alternative preschool program. Kids In Bloom, for children ages 2-4, is offered September through May from 9-11:30am.
Kids in Bloom is a way to introduce children to separation from parents in a school environment. It is designed to teach children to be expressive and build confidence and social skills, while learning how to have fun at school. The program’s activities include music, creative play, gym class, art, and story time, as well as alternative forms of communication including Spanish and sign language. As an added bonus, all students have access to Elliott’s Classes’ gymnastics classes. “Our focus is on letting kids be kids,” says Elliott Cortez, director and owner. “We focus on helping kids play with each other, learn how to share, and encourage kids to spend time playing.”
A gym, art, and music program, similar to Kids in Bloom, will be offered in the summer. It will introduce children to what they will be learning once the regular semester starts. All summer program activities will be held outdoors.
