Created by Kids, an arts program in Brooklyn, began offering a mommy and me Little Artists Workshop in September for kids ages 2-4. It also opened a studio in August and with more equipment, such as pottery wheels, for its after-school fine arts program for ages 4-12 this fall.
The class will introduce young children to different art mediums, including clay, paint, paper, glue, and collage. It also aims to help kids hone their fine motor skills, improve their hand-eye coordination, and provide them with a rich tactile fun experience.
“I really feel [the arts program] is a great way to get the kids to be creative and bring out a lot of their artistic abilities,” says Rene Czika, the founder and owner of Created by Kids. “They may do a lot of stuff that I feel like they might not have the chance otherwise.”
This 10-session art program runs through Nov. 18. It offers two 45-minute class options: a clay-molding class on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays and a printmaking class on Tuesdays. Children can attend any 10 classes for $250. Registration is not required, but preferred.
Created by Kids also offers weekend classes, home lessons, and camps, as well as hosts birthday parties and special events. It aims to add new after-school programs such as animation class during the winter or spring session.
