CosmoKidz Preschool and Daycare Center has brought a brand-new, eco-friendly learning center to Queens. The staff at CosmoKidz is successfully preparing its students ages 6 weeks to 5 years for upper-level education.
Each day at CosmoKidz consists of “circle time,” where children and teachers get together to discuss the day’s events, read and discuss stories, watch puppet shows, and sing songs. During “center time,” each child works on his or her sensory-motor, social, language, and problem-solving skills. Art, block construction, dramatic play, language, mathematics, and science lessons are also implemented.
The center is open year-round, 7am-7pm. After-school programs, weekend enrichment courses, foreign-language learning, Gifted & Talented Prep programs, and summer camps are also offered for additional learning.
All CosmoKidz teachers are New York state licensed and Ivy League-educated. “Our teachers and facility set us apart from any other preschool or day care center in the area,” says Angela, director of CosmoKidz. The teachers support the children through positive reinforcement and learning is an on-going experience as each child faces social interactions with his or her classmates. Children are divided into programs based on age: infant, toddler, nursery, or preschool, so each child receives the attention and curriculum that fits best.
