I don’t know about you, but I have a stack of at least 10 books that have helped get me through my first year of parenting. Books covering everything from baby food to child development to sleep. One I keep coming back to is Heidi Murkoff’s “What to Expect the First Year,” the follow-up to her famous “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” It does a great job of covering the joys and challenges of baby’s first 12 months–offering straightforward advice and information for each phase of baby’s development.
So I was excited to learn that she’s just released a new book to help guide parents of toddlers as well–“What to Expect the Second Year: From 12 to 24 Months.”— It takes parents through what’s known as “the wonder year,” including first steps and first scribbles,%uFFFD bedtime battles, discipline, eating habits, and more. It will definitely be on my bookshelf. You can read our recent interview with Murkoff here.
