Our sister publication, AVENUE magazine, is having a weekend-long event called the Antiques, Art & Design
at the Armory.
Included is a special Designer Book
Presentation by Susanna Salk, an author,
design consultant and TODAY Show correspondent. During this free seminar, Salk
will talk about her best-selling book, Room
for Children: Stylish Spaces for Sleep and Play. —
Published in April 2010, Room
for Children offers ideas about making a child’s space visually and
intellectually stimulating from the nursery years through the tween phase. The
book showcases work of renowned designers such as Kelly Wearstler (who also
wrote the foreword), Charlotte Moss, Alessandra Branca, Amanda Nisbet and
Thomas Jayne. Salk believes that the design of a child’s space should inspire
and enrich during the critical stage of childhood. These spaces include not
only a child’s bedroom but also a play or work area. Salk provides solutions
for difficult design challenges, and her room themes range from traditional to
modern to whimsical.
A book signing will follow the presentation. Click here to RSVP.
