My Gym children's fitness center reopened its West Babylon location on Sept. 9 under the ownership of My Gym franchise veterans Debbie and Evan Greenberg. The newly renovated center now offers Ninja Training and Preschool Prep programs and will soon expand its birthday party offerings to include additional themes and a balloon drop option.
Housed in the Great South Bay Shopping Center, My Gym West Babylon, like other My Gym centers, focuses on flexibility, strength, teamwork, and, of course, fun.
The new Ninja Training program will commence on Sept. 9 and be available in two levels: Level 1 for kids ages 4-7 and Level 2 for kids ages 6-9. Through relays, exercise, and games, young ninjas tackle obstacle courses and learn about teamwork, problem solving, and agility. The program will also integrate aerial silk movements a la Cirque du Soleil, which the Greenbergs have previously incorporated into their Stonybrook and Huntington My Gym locations.
The Preschool Prep curriculum will begin in December. Held twice a week, this program will combine academics and fitness to help tots ages 2-4 get ready for preschool.
With over 550 locations in more than 30 countries, My Gym offers a variety of gymnastics-style fitness programs to children newborn to 11 years old.
“We’re very excited about it,” says Debbie of the My Gym West Babylon reopening. “We think Long Island is a great community.”
