Boo at the Zoo returns to Bronx Zoo

Boo at the Zoo returns each weekend now through Oct. 28, at the Bronx Zoo.

Activities include traditional favorites such as daily magic shows, costume parades, professional pumpkin-carving demos, crafts, and the extinct animal graveyard. So grab your costumes and get into the spirit.

The month-long festival embraces the spirit of the season while incorporating wildlife. Guests will have an opportunity to see and learn about many of the animals often associated with Halloween folklore, including vultures and owls.

Boo at the Zoo, Saturdays and Sundays, 10 am to 5:30 pm, now through Oct. 28, with a special opening on Mon. Oct. 8 for Columbus Day. Included with admission ($36.95 adults, $26.95 children 3-12, children under 3 free).

Treehouse Shakers

<div>Treehouse Shakers&rsquo; Branching OUT After-School program is for ages 12-14. This awarded program is for young people who identify as LGBTQIA+, or are seeking to become better allies. Branching OUT centers on discovering and exploring one&rsquo;s story and identity through an intentionally artist-led format. During our community-based program, young people will explore and reflect on their own story to create a larger, more meaningful experience, while gaining self-empowerment and gathering with like-minded peers. Through the guidance of our awarded teaching artists, young people will create narratives that will be turned into podcasts, dances, songs or poetry.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Young people have the opportunity to learn new art forms, work with professional artists, while building a meaningful community.</div>

<p>Laurissa Jane Music Studio is a dedicated institution that offers a solid foundation for students to explore the captivating world of music and arts.
