My last post chronicled some exciting new developments on the stroller front. But every city parent needs a great baby carrier, too, and the ABC Kids Expo didn’t disappoint. Here are a few of the most innovative new products in babywearing (plus some other fun and helpful products to check out): —
Beco Gemini (pictured): This is one of the most new exciting carriers. It offers front carrying (both facing out and facing in), back carrying and hip carrying. It has hip/waist support and is super comfortable for the shoulders and back.
Many other well-known carriers that have added new prints and colors to their collection. For example, Moby and Ergo have partnered with Petunia Pickle Bottom to make carriers in PPB prints.
Other Fun New Stuff:
The Puj Bathtub: Their foldable tub is great for New York apartments. (They also make booties that can go on either foot for maximum convenience!)
Warm Milk: Their hobo bag with a built-in feeding pillow might be a great reason to have just one more diaper bag. After all, it’s always easiest to feed baby with a pillow and this bag means you always have one with you.
Boon: If innovation and a great work culture results in excellent products, this company has figured out the magical equation. Check out their new nightlight, Glo. They’ve also revamped and expanded many of their other product lines.
Baby Rescue: This item caught my eye because it is used to evacuate children from a high place in case of an emergency. A specially-designed bag holds the child so that they can be safely lowered. Certainly a must-have for families in apartment buildings or with multiple floor houses.
