NYC public school students of all ages were invited by the Teachers & Writers Collaborative to write poems about what it’s like to live, learn, and play in New York City. The result is an extraordinary picture book called, A Poem as Big as New York City: Little Kids Write About the Big Apple, with illustrations by Masha D’yans.
We can’t think of a more vibrant way to see the five boroughs from a kid’s perspective, and for parents and children to be inspired to share their take on city life.
