If you haven’t introduced your kids to Lady Liberty, there is now a new and exciting attraction that is sure to lure them to Liberty Island — the Orange County Choppers’ (from the Discovery Channel /TLC’s hit show "American Chopper") famous Liberty Bike, which is currently on exhibit below the Statue of Liberty National Monument! —
The famous bike, which is completely plated in copper from the restoration of the Statue of Liberty, has been featured on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "American Chopper" and in numerous articles. The bike has also raised funds for Ronald McDonald, The American Red Cross, and the National Children’s Advocacy Center (plus numerous other organizations) welcomed home our nation’s military, and will be on showcase for one whole year beneath the Statue of Liberty.
What’s more, the bike is the first of 50 pieces of art in the "Liberty Ambassador" collection made from Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island artifacts. The shiny, historically-significant chopper is sure to inspire kids about the meaning and importance of liberty and freedom!
