This weekend, it’s all about theatrical and musical fun, with tons of your family’s favorite characters hitting the stage! For example, did you know that Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends from Shining Time Station are taking over Madison Square Garden this weekend for a two-day-only production of "Thomas & Friends Live!" Or that Charlotte, Wilbur, Fern Arable and the rest of the gang from "Charlotte’s Web" will perform a one-day-only show of E.B. White’s classic will take the stage at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center? —
We’re also excited about David Almond’s novel "Skellig" coming to life at the New Victory Theater, "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" at Manhattan Children’s Theater, "The Emperor’s New Clothes" at the Wild Project Theater in the East Village, "Alice in Wonderland" at Puppetworks, and "The Fantasticks" at the Kaufman Center.
But if you’re in the mood to check out something completely new, we’re also looking forward to "The Paper Bag Players Whoop-Dee-Doo," which will be performed throughout the month of March at various city venues, this weekend at Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.
