Looking for an adventure this weekend? Events across the city promise to take you to outer-space and elsewhere! Travel to Mars, transform into a drop of water or hop aboard the Magic School Bus. Whatever you decide, make sure you do it as a family and make some memories while you’re at it! —

FRIDAY-SUNDAY

Transform into a drop of
water
as you go through a maze of waterways in the A-MAZE-ING Water exhibit at
the New York Aquarium. All ages will love learning about this all-important
liquid while engaging their imagination.


Unleash your inner
astronaut at the Armory
during a simulation trip to Mars!
Help little ones be a part of the "live mission" or stick back and work the
mission control center.

FRIDAY

Twinkle toes
unite!
The Manhattan Youth Ballet is performing with guests from the
New York City Ballet for their June show. A dance
choreographed by the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company will be premiered!

SATURDAY-SUNDAY

Art, interactive exhibits
and games combine
to make FIGMENT NYC on Governors
Island
fun for all families. Make sure you hang out at the larger-than-life
tree house and the mini golf course!

Barney and The Magic
School Bus
will be at the Bronx Zoo this weekend
to sing songs and tell stories of their adventures. Kids will love Avenue Zoo
performances and Rainforest Creature Parades.


SATURDAY


Cop cars from every
decade
will be on display at the NYC Police Museum’s annual car
show
. Parents and kids alike will love seeing both new and vintage models.

Explore the great
outdoors while learning
about the environment during the Staten Island Museum’s
NatureFest
–with nature walks, arts and crafts, and much more for all ages
to enjoy!

SUNDAY

Brooklyn musician–and
NYC kid favorite
–Suzi Shelton will be performing at the final BYOK concert at 92YTribeca.
The songs from her latest CD, Tomboy in a Princess Dress, are sure to
have everyone dancing and singing along.

Little foodies ages 5 and
up can snack
on fruit at CMOM as authors Bill and Claire Wurtzel
demonstrate
how to make crazy, fun and edible designs based on their new
book, Funny Food.


Get ready to rock with
your mini-me
alongside Dan Zanes and Bari Koral as
they perform at the Peter Cooper Village / Stuyvesant Town oval. Their upbeat
hits will have you dancing the whole time.


Roll on over to the Egg
Rolls and Egg
Creams Festival in the
Lower East Side–an event celebrating the Jewish and Chinese communities of the
neighborhood. When else can kids learn Yiddish while eating an egg roll and
watching acrobats?


Happy Birthday!

Celebrate 100 years with the Prospect Park Carousel.
There will be free carousel rides, birthday cake, crafts and games for all
ages.


There is something for
everyone
at Brooklyn Family Day, with
circus performers, musical acts ranging from a DJ to an African music group,
sports lessons and other free activities for all ages.
