Turtle Dove Children, a creative center for kids that is partnered with The Jack and Jill School, will offer an Under the Sea summer camp for kids in Manhattan. The Gramercy Park summer camp location aims to inspire peace and community through theater arts, yoga, and creative activities.
Children will construct original crafts based on the Under the Sea theme.
A new Under the Sea summer camp program will be offered this summer to children ages 3-8 in Gramercy Park. Turtle Dove Children, a creative arts learning center for children, aims to inspire peace and community through theater arts and yoga in the heart of the neighborhood year round.
With its central location in the city, and its partnership with The Jack and Jill School, Turtle Dove Children works to improve focus, creative expression, cooperative problem solving, accountability, and confidence in the children of New York City.
“We’re really excited about our central location. It allows us to include all of the neighborhoods in the city and cater to the larger community, because that’s what we’re really about, community and the children,” says founder Jacquelina Demarco, an actress, teaching artist, and certified yoga instructor.
Open enrollment is currently underway for the Under the Sea summer program, which runs Monday through Friday, 9:30am-2:00pm, and includes three sessions throughout the summer. The camp will include water games in sprinklers, taking pictures in ocean themed cutouts, and under the sea literature, amongst other fun activities. An outdoor play yard on location offers a free flowing space in the city, and a fun place to play in the sprinklers.
