Oh my god it’s September. And what’s more, today actually feels like it might be fall — unlike last week’s gross, humid, sticky end to summer. I can’t quite believe we’re jumped head first into a new month, but my disbelief won’t stop time moving forward, so why not jump on the bandwagon? This week we’re talking about string cheese, Grandparent’s Day, and of course, Back To School Season. I promise not to assign any homework if you promise to keep being witty and insightful on Twitter. Deal?

But did you eventually eat a string cheese? Because then I feel like it would immediately become a good day.

An allusion to the Hunger Games? From a toddler?! You win everything. I hope your sponsor sends you a treat.

My daughter and her playdates are making a magazine. It’s called Today’s Kids. Love it! @todaysparent — Haley Overland (@cheaty) September 6, 2012
This is adorable — I used to make magazines as a small child and insist my parents “pay” for them with M&M’s. What were the top stories in Today’s Kidslast week?
