Hello and welcome to my favorite thing about Mondays, which is highlighting all you witty adorable hilarious humans in our weekly Tweet Beat. On Friday it was National S’mores Day and I thought it was going to rain all weekend and then it didn’t, so I’m actually in a great mood. Let’s talk about some other people who are in good moods, namely, you via your tweets.

@skype with my bestie and kiddies in Holland. So awesome to be able to connect so far away! — Marina / Yummy Mummy (@yummymummyblog) August 8, 2012
I always say we’re living in the future and it’s so true! How cool that we can chat with our besties and see each others children grow up from miles and miles away, even with oceans separating us? The future is now (and sometimes I hate it and sometimes I love it but today I love it)!

If you’re ever having a moment where you’re wondering why you put up with this place, just catch a particularly beautiful sunset over the skyline and your faith will be restored (or read this beautiful essay about parenting in Manhattan— it will have the same effect.)

You know your child is a suburban kidWhen someone in bklyn says “let’s walk to the store” & they reply “You can WALK to the store?” — Corine Ingrassia (@ComplicatedMama) August 7, 2012
This made me LOL — my suburban self was shocked by all the places my two little feet could carry me when I arrived in the city six years ago. Sometimes I’m still shocked!
You just did! Welcome! Jump on in! RT
