Hello hello hello. We’re kicking off this post with an absolutely adorable photo so I’m not going to say too much and we’re just going to dive right in.

In today’s round of “okay I give up on life,” I feel like if I’m not even allowed to sit anymore without being in danger, then what’s the point of trying?!

(my latest rant!) Dear People Who Don’t Like Noisy Children: Get Over It blogs.babble.com/kid-scoop/2012… via @babbleeditors
— MarinkaNYC (@MarinkaNYC) June 14, 2012
Who expects complete silence on a NYC bus? Have you ever endured a rude stranger when your kids were just being kids? Were you silent or did you talk back? I’m trying to decide what I would have done…usually the word “rant” makes me nervous but in this case I think some ranting is justified.
@NEDAstaff #WhatMakesMeHappy Being around people that make me feel beautiful for just who I am. <3
— M Fogg (@fleurrebelle18) June 12, 2012
This made my heart swell–let’s all try to make someone happy today, okay? It’s so easy to send positive energy out into the world…maybe I’m being sappy, but I’d feel great if my actions made someone feel beautiful just for being who they are. Acceptance is key in this life. Okay that’s all from my soapbox today, promise!

— Meg Lawton (@Seeds4Parents) June 18, 2012
Anne Lamott’s writing is always fantastic, and this particular essay is great for days when you’re feeling kind of blah. Mistakes are good. Seriously, let’s all listen to the advice we tell our kids. And anyway your hair looks really good today, did you know? ;)
