Good afternoon and welcome to another installment of Tweet Beat. I may have just broken the cardinal rule of “Things You Shouldn’t Tweet,” but hey, we’re blogging, and anyway, I’m a firm believer that you should tweet anything you like! I may skip the poop pictures should you choose to share those, but hey, you do you! So without further ado (lest I commit anymore tweeting/blogging “don’ts”) allow me to share a great round-up, filled with DIY crafts and cakes, a traumatized toddler’s take on Pinterest, reading challenges galore, and a nod to both the sad and the exciting elements that June can bring.
Three Things You Shouldn’t Tweet zite.to/K9kPxM Guess I can’t wish you all good morning! lol
— Josh (@DadStreet) June 4, 2012
I appreciate Josh’s joke, because I’m into the idea that you can tweet whatever you want. But maybe that’s just because I like to tweet GOOD MORNING to y’all every. single. day.

Were you looking for a way to incorporate that cute old suitcase into your home decor? Excellent.

True story: I am obsessed with this video, listen to it multiple times a day, and have sworn to raise my children with zero technology in the hopes that the method will somehow produce amazing vocalists who can serenade me 24/7. This is realistic, right?

Summertime is great, but beware that the transition can feel scary for kids. These are some great tips about how to ease anxiety and stress as you enter vacation as a family.
Graduation today, both big kids… Kinda feel like time has kicked me in the gut. So amazing to watch them grow though. Sigh.
— Jessica Shyba (@MommasGoneCity) June 6, 2012
Transitions aren’t only scary for kids–June can feel pretty scary for grown ups, too! Watching your little ones grow produces a mixture of pure joy and complete nostalgia…and maybe even a few tears? Or is that just me? In any case, congrats to everyone with
tiny graduates, and cheers to many more happy milestones in the future!
More Facebook photos. I’m in a tunic repurposed from a tablecloth. Look like some kind of refugee. #pinterest

Dear Honest Toddler, why are you so honest and wonderful? I’ll take you any day, tablecloth tunic refugee lookalike or not!
15 days til summer! Are your kids ready to READ? @Scholastic‘s Summer Reading Challenge! bit.ly/KcRRx8 @jensbookpage @reachoutandread
— Melissa Taylor (@ImaginationSoup) June 5, 2012
When I was a child summer vacation was my favorite because I was allowed to read all day, and no one made fun of me at recess when I brought my book outside and refused to play tag. Does that make me a huge nerd? Nope, it makes me the coolest. Well, my 10-year-old self was the coolest. Encourage your kids to be just as cool with Scholastic’s summer reading challenge!

Another #SummerReading contest! Obviously I endorse this, too (as does my 10-year-old self.)
Hate it when my supervisor asks me what I’m listening to and it’s something like Kanye or JayZ or Drake.
— Alicia Harper (@MommyDelicious) June 5, 2012
Let me tell you, having your supervisor walk in on Ani DiFranco or the Indigo Girls is no less embarrassing. Not that I know from experience or anything…
Yes, S decided to wear her PJs to preschool.instagr.am/p/LiJaHIzNaG/
— Pam Kirkbride (@triplethreatmom) June 6, 2012
I’m voting S Best Dressed of the Week, and I am owning up to being insanely jealous of her outfit. Were it socially acceptable, I would probably wear a Disney Princess nightgown to work every day, too. (Don’t worry, co-workers. I’m very aware that this is not socially acceptable.)
