Now under the leadership of Maryana Khaimou, director, The Learning Experience (TLE) Mount Sinai is adding a host of new vendors and special guests to this summer’s curriculum at Camp TLE. Instead of last year’s total of three special guests, there will now be two different guests each week.
In each weekly themed session, campers will have the opportunity to participate in fun and engaging activities including water play, cotton candy making, pony rides, a petting zoo, relay races, and visits from Mickey and Minnie.
Although The Learning Experience franchise has numerous locations across the country, each facility offers an enriching child care curriculum centered on enhancing cognitive, physical, and social growth. The childcare programs at TLE are developed around the six stages of early childhood development: infant (six weeks to 1 year), toddler (1 year to 2 years), twaddler (2 years to 2 ½ years), prepper (21/2 years to 3 years), preschooler (3 years to 5 years), and kindergartner (5 years).
Before and after school programs are also available for children in elementary school. The motto here is “Learn, Play, and Grow!”, and activities strive to be fun, hands-on, and educational.
Camp TLE Mount Sinai will last a total of nine weeks from July 2 to August 31. The days run from 6:30am to 6:30pm Mondays through Fridays. Children ages 2 to 8 are welcome to participate, and to ensure that they take part in the curriculum that is best suited to their stage of development, they will be placed into groups by age. The staff at Camp TLE are trained and certified by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services Division of Child Care Services.
“Our program is exciting and knowledgeable with competitive rates,” says Khaimou.
