Tenafly Pediatrics, a doctors’ office network in Bergen County, NJ, now offers patients the ability to book appointments online.
Tenafly Pediatrics aims to offer high-level, quality care while providing patients with the best in health care services. The pediatric practice recently launched an online booking appointment program for sick visits, enabling patients to schedule appointments even when offices are closed.
“The approach is that we want to make sure patients have access to care when their child is sick, especially when the office is closed,” says chief operating officer Thomas Zeug. “We’re removing a lot of frustration [the parent] may have in reaching the office so that they can concentrate on soothing their child.”
Before launching this program, Zeug says the office sent out a newsletter to their current patients stating new guidelines. Appointments can be made for patients who need to be seen the following day due to a sudden illness. Once the appointment is booked, patients will receive confirmation through email or text message.
Tenafly was recently recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Materials had to be submitted showing good access to care as well as follow-ups with patients who have more serious chronic illnesses, Zeug says. This higher standard of services was awarded in April.
As a multi-location pediatrician practice, Tenafly has six offices in Bergen County, NJ, just a few miles from Rockland County.
