Sugartooth Tours is gearing up for its Ice Cream Sundays Frozen Treats Tour for the fourth summer in a row.
Guests who partake in the tour will get a chance to try a number of frozen sweet treats including ice cream sandwiches, fresh fruit popsicles, gelato, uniquely flavored ice cream, and milk shakes. The tour promises to not only be delicious, but educational as well, as participants will learn fun facts about sweet treats, such as how the ice cream sundae was invented.
The Ice Cream Sundays Frozen Treats Tour starts in Union Square and takes guests on a sweet journey through the East Village and Little Italy. The tour covers about two miles at a leisurely pace, so expect to do a fair share of walking while eating your cold treat, though there will be opportunities to sit during the approximately 2½-hour tour.
“At Sugartooth Tours, we want guests to experience the best of what New York desserts have to offer beyond big-name stops that everyone knows about,” said Sarah Morgan, co-founder and co-owner of Sugartooth Tours, in a press release. “Both tourists and local New Yorkers alike enjoy our tours. We like to make the experience fun by sharing interesting facts and engaging history along the way. Our tours are purposely kept small so tour-goers can really experience the city and have a more casual and conversational experience.”
Ice Cream Sundays Frozen Treats Tours start the first weekend in June and run most Saturdays and Sundays of the summer through the end of August. The tours start at 1pm and tickets are $50 per person, all ages are welcome. To purchase tickets and find out more information visit sugartoothtours.com.
