Spring is Here! (If Only For A Moment)

Surely this must be one of the reasons why we love NYC; because it’s full of exciting, unexpected and romantic moments. Which is what you could call the latest event at the Openhouse Gallery in Nolita: NYC’s first ever indoor pop up park appropriately named Park Here. Though not really a park but an art installation that looks like a park (meaning bring the kids but leave the ball at home) it has grass, trees, rocks and even piped in birds chirping, though all completely artificial. —And while we understand this doesn’t beat the real thing, considering the nearest patch of green is a plane ride away it’s a welcome reprieve from the harsh realities of January. Park Here will be open to the public free of charge from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day through Jan. 30. During the week, there’s yoga and pilates, croquet, bocce ball, movie nights, and local food vendors setting up shop. But hurry because the dream ends this Sunday.
