Bare Naked Bakery & Café is 100-percent gluten- and nut-free. Bridget Brennan, the genius behind the café and bakery, opened her business after her sister was forced to remove gluten from her diet in 2006. She serves gluten-free pizza, paninis, soups, and vast amount of bakery items, such as bread, muffins, and sweets.

GM Burger Bar is known for its quality American food. The burgers are the headliners, but the restaurant serves other options as well. Anything labeled with an orange “gf” on the menu is gluten-free, and additional foods can be made gluten-free as well. While GM Burger Bar offers gluten-free hamburger buns, but can’t go wrong with a Burger in a Bowl or its Lemon Pesto Chicken.

La Bottega is a cozy and enjoyable restaurant for the entire family. Cousins and owners, Louis Neglia and Anthony St. George, decided to take a chance and open La Bottega Merrick after being impressed by the original restaurant in Garden City. It offers a separate gluten-free menu, with many panini and salad selections, as well as gluten-free Grilled Calamari and gluten-free Halloumi Alla Griglia.

La Piazza is every local’s favorite restaurant. What you may not know, though, is it has many gluten-free options. La Piazza can make you a gluten-free brick-oven pizza, with whatever toppings you’d like. It also has gluten-free pasta and other gluten-free options including grilled chicken primavera, which is served with a vegetable medley and side salad or a side of pasta.
