The Progressive Martial arts school in Queens, NY has changed its working hours to seven days a week (previously excluding Sundays).
This change is especially essential for beginners and for parents who have to work on weekends. “We wanted to help the parents who work,” said owner Kathy Sacoulas. “We needed to make it work for them so their kids have a full opportunities to train.”
The school is broken up into four categories for children: Explorers (Ages 3-4), Little Dragons (ages 5-6), Little Warriors (ages 7-9), and Warriors (ages 10-15).
The school offers 70 classes a week, consisting of programs in Mixed Martial Arts, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, and Filipino Kali (which includes practice with weapons and Empty Handed Combat)
Besides the sport of learning martial arts, children will gain self-confidence, self-discipline, partake in better lifestyle practices and develop effective self-defense skills, says Sacoulas
With the guidance of Progressive Martial Arts, students will receive effective coaching, motivation and inspiration to choose martial arts as a path that will positively transforming their lives.
