Design Zone
The New York Hall of Science

In Design Zone, NY Hall of Science’s newest exhibit, families will learn how the music, videogame, and amusement park industries use math and science everyday. Design Zone is divided into three sections: Music, Art, and Action. In the Music area, young music makers can mix their own music samples, scratch like a DJ on turntables, and put on a light show that syncs to hip hop beats. The Art zone allows kids to create 2D and 3D art and play physics-based games, while the Action section lets visitors design their own roller coaster rides and skate parks. Design Zone runs through September 1. Free with museum admission. Please note: The NY Hall of Science will have shortened hours (10 am-1 pm) on June 2.
