WeBop Family Jazz Party: Fun with Drums featuring NEA Jazz Master Jimmy Cobb

WeBop Family Jazz Parties introduces kids ages 8 months to 7 years to jazz and its instruments. This coming Saturday, party with National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master Jimmy Cobb as he drums up dance-worthy rhythms at Lincoln Center. Tickets are $20 per person or $60 for a family 4-pack. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Big Apple Barbecue Block Party
Madison Square Park

Rustle up the kids and head over to Madison Square Park for some bbq in the Big Apple. The Big Apple Barbecue Block Party is a two-day food fest where visitors can sample barbecued ribs, chicken, sausage and more from pitmasters all over the country. The block party will also include cooking seminars with nationally renowned chefs plus live music. Admission is free, and no ticket is required to attend. BBQ plates are $9, desserts and beverages $3-8, cash only. Fastpasses are sold out.

Almost Summer Celebration

The official start of summer is just around the corner and to celebrate, Robert F. Wagner, Jr. Park is hosting an Almost Summer Celebration! All ages are invited to play games, listen to Native American stories, and make summer-y arts and crafts. In addition, at noon Dan Zanes and Elizabeth Mitchell will put on a family-friendly concert. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Admission is free. In case of rain, the Celebration will be held at the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
Egg Rolls & Egg Creams Festival
The Museum at Eldridge Street

Two cultures will merge during the Egg Rolls and Egg Creams Festival at the Museum at Eldridge Street. Fest-goers can nosh on Chinese and Jewish-style food, participate in a Yiddish or Chinese language lesson, watch Chinese acrobatics and opera, and more. Festival admission is free. Event will be held rain or shine.
