Longford’s Ice Cream has a mobile scoop truck, to be reserved for events from March to November, serving ice cream, sundaes, and milkshakes.
Longford’s mobile scoop truck is available for a range of events, including weddings, kids’ parties, sporting events, and community fairs and festivals. It will serve up toppings such as sprinkles, cookie crumbles, fudge, and caramel on classic flavors and creations such as Longford’s Cookie Monster, Mud Pie, Cotton Candy, Coffee Chunk, and Lemon Sorbet (flavors subject to change).
Customers wishing to reserve Longford’s mobile scoop truck can choose from one of four different party packages. The mobile scoop truck is a nut-safe truck, so kids with allergies are safe to enjoy Longford’s ice cream.
“Our mobile scoop truck is our shop on wheels,” says store owner Christine Vita. Her brother, Bobby Vita, owns the truck.
The Longford’s Ice Cream brand was established in 1992; its Rye store has been serving Westchester County since 1995. Longford’s Ice Cream store in Rye is open year-round and serves more than 30 flavors, including fat-free and low-fat frozen yogurts, fresh fruit sorbets, ice cream cakes, cookie sandwiches, milkshakes, old-fashioned malts and floats, and doughnut sundaes.
“What separates from other stores is our ‘superpremium’ ice cream and our old-fashioned décor,” Christine says. Visitors to the Rye store can expect to see “old-fashioned ice cream signs and chalkboards and ice cream parlor sweetheart chairs,” she adds.
