Do you think your community or school sports program is deserving of recognition? Why not rally the troops (er, team!) and get the word out that it’s time to register to win a much-deserved grant. The Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports program has given nearly $400,000 back to youth sports organizations across the country since the program launched in September of 2007, and the spring grant period runs from March 1 through May 31.
Grants will be awarded to the 14 youth sports organizations ($2,500 each) and six schools ($5,000 each) who are most successful at rallying their community (parents, coaches, friends, faculty, administrators) to complete an online Responsible Sport quiz on their behalf. Groups are divided into population categories to ensure that small towns are not competing against large cities. Visit www.responsiblesports.com for all the details.
