Take an adventure this week with one (or two or three!) of the great events the city has to offer. Virtually travel to space at the Intrepid as you witness the unveiling of the Enterprise, search the Met for Harry Potter wizarding art, or become a princess at the Museum of Motherhood.

Presley and Melody: An Interactive Concert at Webster Library

Girl-Power Princess Play Date at the Museum of Motherhood

Be a princess for a day! Get your face painted by FaceArt by Melissa and make a girl power crown or a super power wand. At the Power Princess Tea Party and story time, you’ll get to create a tasty treat to eat.

Opening of the Space Shuttle Pavilion at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum
West 46th Street and 12th Avenue
11am (Grand Opening Ceremony) and 2pm (Unveiling of the Pavilion)
The new Space Shuttle Pavilion will open to the public with an unveiling of the Enterprise. Don’t miss the special appearance from two astronauts who will be sharing stories of their space missions at 2pm.

Ice Cream Storytime at the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden

Watson Adventures: The Wizard School Scavenger Hunt at the Met

Follow in the footsteps of Harry Potter and rediscover the magic of the Met as you track down a Snape-like potions master, flying owls and dragons, Hagrid-esque giants, strange mermaids and sharks from the Triwizard Tournament, and cloaked figures as scary as a Death Eater or Dementor.

Mario the Magician’s Family Magic Show at Space on White

Join Mario the Magician for an inventive and interactive magical performance for both the young and young-at-heart. Even those who think they’ve seen it all will find something to love about Mario’s homemade props and modern spins on old tricks.

Aviator Sports Summer Day Camp

<p>Aviator Sports Summer Day Camp offers five daily rotating activities such as swimming, ice skating gymnastics, rock climbing, parkour, indoor/outdoor turf, and courts plus more in its ample 175,000 sq. ft. facility and 35-acre outdoor area. Aviator Summer Camp also offers off-site and on-site field trips such as a day at Green Meadows Farm, Launch Trampoline Park, and a Brooklyn Cyclones game. The summer camp runs from 9 am-5 pm with early drop off and late stay available. Bus transportation is also available throughout Brooklyn. Lunch and an afternoon snack are included. Sign up by February 28th to receive up to $300 off camp with early bird discounts.</p>

The Music Institute of Long Island
