We have always been great fans of Helmut Lang and Olivier Theyskens- two designers known for their sophisticated simplicity, excellent fit and tailoring infused with just the right amount of “cool”. So we are exctied to report they have come together under one roof in a pop up store called Helmut Lang & Theyskens’ Theory, which opened this month in Soho and will be around until fall 2011.On display are the elegant staples of Helmut, which every closet craves, and the first capsule Theory collection designed by Olivier Theyskens. Theyskens, the former designer of the great French fashion houses Rochas and Nina Ricci, was just appointed creative director for the brand and we’re looking forward to his vision for the urban Theory woman. Prices range from $90 for a Helmut Tshirt and Volcanic Eruption Dress for $300 to a Theory Blazer for $600. 93 Mercer Street.
